Tuning In: Punctuation Inquiry

Today we began our new writing unit on punctuation.  To start the unit, we thought about some big questions:

• What is punctuation? 
• Why do we use it when we read and write? 
• When did people begin using punctuation? 
• How did people begin using punctuation? 

Hopefully after our inquiry into punctuation and it's uses, we'll be able to answer some of our own wonderings!
