What can division look like?

This week, the Little Minions explored division.  When do you need to divide?  What are you actually doing?  What can it look like? 

We used manipulatives to divide a large number into equal groups. 

These equal groups helped us create arrays to help us see our familiar fact family from multiplication. 

Students recorded their findings in their notebooks and documented a variety of ways to show their thinking! 

They showed repeated subtraction, equal groups, arrays, and story problems to show their understanding of division!  Well done, Little Minions!
